Join us for a lovely morning tea celebrating some courageous and inspiring women in our community. Speakers include Kirstie Ennis, a Marine Corps Sgt. who has was forced to retire at the age of 24 when she was in a life-changing helicopter crash. Now, inspiring all around her, she continues to push the physical limits regardless of her circumstances. Her courageous story will leave you in awe. We are also thrilled to announce, Dr. Renee Coffman, president and co-founder of Roseman University will be speaking about her journey that got her where she is today. Join the Mad Hatter for Hors d'oeuvres, tea and cocktails in our whimsical outdoor Wonderland. Dress in your finest and don't forget you fascinator or sun hat, it's going to be mad!!

Kirstie Ennis - Veteran + Paralympian


Kirstie Ennis joined the Marine Corps at 17 years old in Pensacola, Florida. Over the six years she served, she performed duties as a helicopter door gunner and airframes mechanic on the CH-53 platforms. On June 23, 2012, during her last deployment to Afghanistan, her helicopter went down while performing combat resupplies to FOB Now Zad. As a result of the crash she sustained various severe injuries that included an above the knee amputation on her left leg. She medically retired out of the Marine Corps as a Sergeant in May 2014. Kirstie Ennis became the first female US veteran above the knee amputee to summit Carstensz Pyramid. At this event, Kirstie will just be getting back from climbing Mt. Everest.


Dr. Renee Coffman - President and co-founder of Roseman University of Health Sciences

She previously served as the University's Executive Vice President for Quality Assurance and Intercampus Consistency and the Dean of its College of Pharmacy. Prior to establishing Roseman University, Dr. Coffman became a founding member of the faculty at Western University of Health Sciences, where she also held the position of Facilitative Officer for Student Services. While at Western, Dr. Coffman and four colleagues received Honorable Mention for the AACP Innovations in Teaching Awards.


Dr. Coffman has worked to support pharmacy, education and improved healthcare through her work with the Southern Nevada Medical Industry Coalition, iDO (Improving Diabetes and Obesity in Southern Nevada), the Nevada State Board of Pharmacy Medication Error Discussion Group and the Nevada State Board of Pharmacy Committee on Standards for Approval of Pharmacy Technician Training Programs. Additionally, Dr. Coffman was instrumental in successful legislative efforts permitting pharmacists to perform finger-stick blood glucose testing.
In recognition of her community service in Southern Nevada, in 2008 she received the "Who's Who in Healthcare" Award and the "Women of Distinction" Award, both sponsored by Greenspun Media Group. In 2012, she was named a "Distinguished Alumnus" by Ohio Northern University and in 2016 she was named one Nevada Business Magazine's "Women to Watch." She was named one of "Southern Nevada's Women to Watch" by Greenspun Media Group in 2017.
